This is a darker, denser Merlot with a brooding personality. Aromas and flavours of dark fruits open up in the glass, accented by long, ripe tannins that deliver a long, long finish.

96 Points, John Schreiner

The less is more style of Silent Bishop is prevalent on the raspberry and blackberry nose, and the wine’s elegant structure. The attack is round and savoury, and in 2016 the tannins are both complex and slippery, adding to its long, persistent, linear finish.

92 Points, Anthony Gismondi

Aromas and flavors of black cherry, cherry tobacco and espresso propel this potent and dense Merlot. Despite the name, there's nothing silent about it, with herbal accents amplified by 100% native yeast fermentation and the polished tannins carved by 21 months in 100% new French oak.

93 Points, Paul Gregutt - Wine Enthusiast Magazine
