Displays plenty of expensive wood right off the top, with light melted butter layered on dense, ripe, plush dark fruit, immediately engaging and appealing. The palate is firm and well-extracted, with loads of structure but still polished and carefully crafted. Tannins are big and velvety, and abundant, and the finish is long. A very impressive wine to be sure, balanced and complete, a big mouthful of wine.

94 Points, John Szabo - Wine Align

Into the liqueur and savour, even a little bit of garrigue and Mediterranean black olive and caper brine. The acidity is deeper as opposed to brighter so it even lends towards a brooding moment or two. For fans of the deeply religious merlot with stealth checkmate-assisting ability.

94 Points, Michael Godel
