2019 Capture Chardonnay

The natural ferment contributes lifted aromatics and a subtle infusion of orchid blossom, herbs, spices, and fruit. The palate has a fresh entry of green apple and mandarin followed by silky stone fruits with a hint of sea salt finish. This wine is creamy and long.

Border Vista Vineyard

This single parcel, planted in 1997 to Dijon clonal material, is a mere ten metres from the BC-Washington border on the east side of Osoyoos Lake.

The vineyard, with Anarchist Mountain towering above it to the east, has a slight undulations characteristics of what was once the floor of a large glacial lake.

The wine begins with aromas of stone fruits, orchard blossoms and herbs. Lean on entry, the wine broadens out in the glass. It delivers flavours of Asian pear and green apple, with a salty minerality on the finish.

95 Points, John Schreiner

Regular lees stirring has added a lovely mid-weight palate before the elegance kicks in, aided by only 13.8 percent alcohol. Look for green apples, pear, tangerine, salinity.

93 Points, Anthony Gismondi

The aromas offer notes of barrel toast and char, along with cream, corn silk and spice. Fuller-feeling flavors follow, offering textural richness and nuance. Toasty notes linger on the finish. It's still showing its youth now. Give time in bottle or decant. Best after 2025.

92 Points, Sean P. Sullivan - Wine Enthusiast Magazine
