2014 Little Pawn Chardonnay

Captivating, floral nose with hints of rose petal and cinnamon spice. On the palate, subtle richness, hints of cream and beautiful oak integration create a wine of restrained elegance, with substantial length.

Jagged Rock Vineyard

Nestled in the Okanagan Highland foothills of the Black Sage Bench just southeast of Oliver, these Chardonnay blocks were planted in 1999 on a west-facing plateau to a mix of clone 76 and our heritage ‘Dekleva’ clone.

The soil is composed of sand and gravel formed by glacial activity. The porous nature of the soils limits the vigour of the vines, producing low-yielding grape clusters concentrated in flavour.

The wine is bold and rich, both in aroma and on the palate. The floral and citrus aromas lead to intense flavours that are buttery, with hints of citrus and vanilla. The finish of this satisfying wine persists.

96 Points, John Schreiner

Vanilla oak and apple nose; full-bodied, spicy peachy nose; well-balanced, great length of flavour with a lively acidic finish.

92 Points, Tony Aspler
