2013 Capture Chardonnay

A struggling, natural ferment contributes a lifted, perfumed nose reminiscent of mandarin blossom with a wild element. The palate opens with spice and creamy stone fruits, which are overtaken by minerals and a keen acidity, smoothly interwoven with an oak influence.

Border Vista Vineyard

This single parcel, planted in 1997 to Dijon clonal material, is a mere ten metres from the BC-Washington border on the east side of Osoyoos Lake.

The vineyard, with Anarchist Mountain towering above it to the east, has a slight undulations characteristics of what was once the floor of a large glacial lake.

This is lush and succulent at once, the peach, apple pie and subtle spice notes picking up pastry and saline mineral accents on the lingering aftertaste. Terrific intensity, building to a long, toasty finish.

93 Points, Wine Spectator

It has complex nut, lemon and lees, a hint of butter and peach and nectarine stone fruit. The palate shows nut, lees, butter, then crisp, lemon, citrus zest and a touch of caramel. Nice complexity unfolds before the stony mineral notes open up on a long finish.

92 Points, Rhys Pender
